Ron Lally Workshop

Professor Lally's work in the field of child development, care and education extends over 40 years and has been influential in directing government policy and childcare practice in the US. He is currently the Co-Director of the Centre for Child and Family Studies at WestEd, a far reaching and successful education and human development service agency in SanFrancisco. WestEd takes the best ideas, models, research and solutions to the challenges faced in providing high quality and successful care and education programs within the contexts of schools, families, and communities. In particular, WestEd has as a priority improving the lives of those children, families, and communities least well-served by current education, health, and social systems. The efforts of the centre enable policymakers to make informed decisions about early care and education that will most positively impact children and families.

Professor Lally will be introducing California Department of Education's new Infant Toddler Learning & Development Foundations. It is 28 foundations of development with DVD examples of behaviour at 8, 18 and 36 months.
